Kibera Community Empowerment Organisation was founded by Joshwa Tambo and Abby Angawa in 2007 because of the passion they had to see the Kibera Slum socially developed. KCEO is an independent community based organisation, committed to empowering communities within the slum to take active responsibility for their lives to shape the future of their destiny. This is achieved through capacity building, resource mobilisation, advocacy and lobbying for change in all aspects of human life: social, economic, spiritual, political and physical. KCEO provides access to education, training to local artisans and peer education leading to poverty reduction,financial freedom, skills dissemination and social justice.
